Production Quality Engineer

Job Title: Production Quality Engineer (SLT Department)


This Production Quality Engineer role is in-charge of the daily operation inspection & assurance of the defined processes and procedures. Working environment inside a Semiconductor 100K cleanroom, System Level Testing Operation. Work with Production Quality Manager & Operation HOD to develop and implement quality standards and processes to meet customer and company requirements. Conduct daily tests to evaluate the accuracy and precision of products and production equipment. Prepare reports by analyzing, collecting, and summarizing data. Manage customer-specific requirements and offer technical support. Supervise daily workplace safety and quality practices. Teamwork with Production Engineers & Supervisors to ensure high quality standards for Operation.


Responsibilities:

  • Production Quality daily inspection system ownership and assurance of processes pertaining to 100K clean room System Level Testing operation.
  • Mange and deploy daily Production IQC & OQC operators/inspectors.
  • Attend daily operation meeting, and present the Production Quality KPI.
  • Report to Production Quality Manager on quality issues and provide updates/resolution.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and resolve quality issues with operation.
  • Drive continuous improvement of quality standards and processes with operation.
  • Evaluate skill levels of new QA inspectors, develop training materials, coach and train team members for improving team performance.
  • Provide quality assistance in buyoff, installation and maintenance of company equipment.
  • Document quality procedures and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and support audit functions.
  • Ensure safety requirement is strictly followed and all vendors must meet our safety expectation before commencement of work.
  • Provide urgent/ad-hoc support for quality topics, even during off-office hours, so as to achieve continuous running of the operation.
  • Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining high quality and productivity.
  • Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for employees as needed.
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by the manager or management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in managing high quality standards of Semiconductor 100K Cleanroom Testing operation.
  • Able to demonstrate good communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement projects (Lean/Kaizen) and demonstrate resource planning capability.
  • Experienced Production In-Process Quality Engineer who is highly effective working in a team-oriented matrix organization.
  • Must have proven skills effective problem solving, troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis, on Production Quality management.
  • Certification in Quality Standards is a plus point.
