THIS IS A 2-YEAR RENEWABLE/CONVERTIBLE POSITION
The Audience Development (Singapore Navy Museum) is responsible for the planning, conception and implementation of public and school programmes including tours, artist residencies and school/corporate bookings centered around the Museum’s collections, exhibitions and events for a wide range of audiences.
To develop a wide range of audiences for the Museum within the community while working closely with HQ marketing and development team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and allocation of resources for programmes and events
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on developing and implementing programmes for the Museum
- Support the working relationship with external stakeholders and partners
- Schedule, facilitate and coordinate administrative procedures, including budgeting
- Research on current trends on programming and themes both online and on-site platforms
- Carry out ongoing evaluation and analyse surveys from audiences
- Work closely with operation staff to prepare venues for programmes and events such as obtaining necessary clearances and maintenance of site
Job Requirement
- At least 2/3 years of direct experience working in events management/ programming, coaching/teaching/training experiences will be an advantage
- An interest and passion for Singapore history, museums and the local art scene
- Self-directed learner and problem solver who remains productive under pressure
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English, knows how to operate Microsoft Office Suite
- Good time management skills
- Cultural understanding and empathy for diverse communities
- Availability to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Team player
- Service oriented and enjoy interacting with people
