RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be responsible for conducting design and development of sensor networks and Internet-of-Things (IOT) systems for in-home sensing of human behaviour for the purpose of health monitoring and wellness analysis. Successful candidate will join an active research team led by Prof TAN Ah Hwee from School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University. https://sites.google.com/smu.edu.sg/cognitive-and-neural-computing
- Design, deployment and maintenance of sensor networks and Internet of Things (IOT) system for in-home sensing of human behaviour and activities
- Integration of in-home sensors, home gateway, and backend cloud servers for data collection
- Development of software for feature extraction and data analytics
- Documentation and preparation of technical reports
- Minimum Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher learning
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with sensors, Internet-of-Things, networking, artificial intelligence, and/or related fields
- Good analytical, technical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge/Proficiency in hardware sensors, cloud computing, networking and programming languages, such as Python, Java and C/C++
- Competency in application prototype design and development
- Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
