Essential Functions:
· To achieve smooth operations of all own and time charter vessels and provide highest quality to customers.
· Being person in charge for all operational matters on the handled ships.
· Carefully study all terms & conditions of the agreed contracts and taking care that all requirements are being followed and fulfilled.
· Voyage planning (calculating fuel consumption / cargo intake / port rotation / optimal sea route).
· Preparation of voyage orders for the ship.
· Sending agency appointments to the designated agents in the various ports.
· Coordinating cargo intake & bunker requirements together with captain of the ship.
· Appointing weather routing company to help fine-tune optimum sea route.
· Ordering bunkers which to be supplied at the designated port.
· Sending regular updates on ship’s estimated arrival/departure time to required parties (such as charterers, owners, agents).
· Supervising process of issuing freight invoices / paying & collecting hire / laytime calculations).
· Paying port disbursements and supervising finalization process.
· Approving cargo documentation and releasing same to relevant parties.
· Monitoring ship’s performance at sea.
· Arguing performance claims towards clients in case required.
· Data input into softmar and making sure all relevant information is constantly updated.
· Regular monitoring of the profit & loss calculation for each particular voyage.
· Claims handling in coordination with legal department.
· Checking finalized voyages and explaining profits & losses in detail.
Skill Requirements:
· Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
· Reliable track record in shipping industry
· Excellent communication & social skills
· Team player
· Well organized & structured
· Ability to pay attention to detail
· Good verbal & written skills in English
· Able to work under pressure
