We are seeking a dedicated RHEL System Administrator to join our team, working on a 12-hour shift schedule. The candidate will play a critical role in planning, executing, and monitoring technical aspects of projects while supporting operational systems. This role includes managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Windows VM infrastructure, and VMware vSphere IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Support operational systems in compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and operational activities.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
RHEL and Windows VM Infrastructure Management
- Installation, configuration, hardening, maintenance, and patching.
- Ensure system security and compliance.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Manage capacity, perform preventive and proactive support.
- Execute incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Provide system administration support and guidance for app configuration tasks.
Value-Added Skills
- Veritas clustering setup on RHEL VMs (preferred).
- Chef Automation (preferred).
- AWS EC2 maintenance and support.
VMware vSphere Management
- Operate and maintain VMware vSphere IT infrastructure (vSphere 7.x).
Other IT Infrastructure Responsibilities
- Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows systems.
- Collaborate on networking and SAN storage solutions related to RHEL and Windows.
- Integrate server automation processes using custom scripts or tools like Ansible.
- Provide hands-on support for infrastructure agents such as NetBackup.
- Work closely with storage, network, security, and application delivery teams.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in RHEL administration preferred.
