Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional service at Avenue'J café. As a key leader in our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction, managing staff, and ensuring smooth operations in line with the café's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure all staff adhere to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate inventory.
- Manage cash handling and reconcile daily sales reports.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and mentor café staff to deliver excellent service.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback.
- Address performance issues and escalate to management as needed.
Customer Service Excellence
- Greet and interact with customers to ensure a positive experience.
- Handle customer feedback, complaints, and inquiries professionally.
- Promote a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in line with the café’s brand.
Sales and Promotion
- Support promotional activities, menu updates, and seasonal events.
- Upsell café products to boost revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales performance and suggest strategies for improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a café or F&B environment.
- Strong knowledge of café operations, including barista skills, food handling, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic financial reporting.
