About the role
We are seeking a Communications Intern to join the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) in the West Region on a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to gain practical, hands-on experience in the communications field.
What you'll be doing
- Assist in the development and editing of communication materials including posters, brochures, social media graphics and EDMs
- Help manage and coordinate communication projects and events including logistics, preparation of materials and on-site assistance
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and target audience to generate valuable insights that inform communication strategies
- Track, analyse and prepare reports on the communication campaign performance using tools i.e. Google Analytics, social media analytics and email metrics
- Coordinate meetings with external stakeholders including vendors and partners
- Collaborate closely with teams from various departments and students to gather insights, consolidate inputs and create content that supports communication goals
What we're looking for
- Current Polytechnic or University student in marketing or communications discipline
- Only Singaporeans
- You are a curious, adaptable, intuitive, self-starter and collaborative team player
- Good organisational and time management skills with great attention to detail
- You are self-motivated, friendly and outgoing personality
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with hands-on knowledge of Graphic Design Software i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva
- Hands-on knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Telegram) with design and video production knowledge is a plus
- Good command of English with solid writing skills; bilingualism is a plus
