EMC Storage Management:
- Manage and support a variety of EMC storage systems, such as Unity, VMAX, VNX, and Isilon.
- Configuring, provisioning, and troubleshooting storage resources, ensuring optimal performance, and conducting regular health checks.
- Involve in tasks like LUN creation, data migration, snapshots, and backups, as well as implementing security measures, such as encryption and access control.
ArcServe Backup Management:
- Oversee the ArcServe backup, ensuring that backups are completed successfully and without errors
- Design, implement, and regularly test backup and disaster recovery plans to protect critical data.
- Monitoring backup logs, resolving issues as they arise, and restoring data when needed to maintain system reliability and data integrity.
Capacity Planning & Optimization:
- Analyze storage trends to predict future needs, optimize performance through tiering strategies, and ensure that storage resources are used effectively.
- Manage data lifecycle policies and fine-tune storage and backup systems for peak performance.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure storage and backup systems align with business continuity requirements.
- Work closely with other IT teams to test and implement recovery strategies, ensuring that the organization can quickly recover from any system failures.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on storage configurations, backup procedures, and system policies.
- Generate reports on system performance, capacity usage, and backup health
- Providing regular updates to senior management.
Requirements
- Must have a Bachelors Degree .
- Minimum of 6 years of working experience, and 4+ years in Storage and backup management
- Able to multi task
- Must have knowledge in Documentation and reporting tools
- Must have EMC storage experience
- Must have Arcserve Backup experience
