Job Responsibilities:
The appropriate level of expertise is required in order that the Job / Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standard:
- We are looking for an enthusiastic individual keen to work collaboratively and iteratively within an established acoustics team. The successful candidate would also work across wider multi-disciplinary design teams and be expected to establish strong working relationships with other internal teams.
- The individual would have excellent report writing, personal organisation and communication skills.
- They would be taught acoustics calculations and modelling using software such as SoundPLAN, CATT, Insul, Odeon, and MOTIV.
- They would also be trained to undertake a range of site measurements and testing, data analysis, predictions and write reports on a range of projects. Experience of displaying and manipulating datasets in GIS software would also be beneficial.
- Hence no experience is required.
Requirements:
- A degree in Physics, Maths or Engineering, Acoustics, Architecture or similar.
- Understanding acoustics, noise and vibration is an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Demonstrated practical experience in instrumentation and acoustic modelling software is highly regarded.
- Experience in Google Sketchup, GIS, AutoCAD, Revit or Microstation software is advantageous
