Morgan McKinley is looking for a well-versed Senior Mobile Application Engineer(Flutter) for a 12-months contract with our client in the tech industry.
About the Role:
Join our client's Merchant App Flutter Team, responsible for developing and maintaining merchant mobile applications, catering to businesses ranging from small hawkers to large franchises. Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers to enhance the merchant experience through innovative solutions. This role involves both product development and technical improvements, contributing to impactful projects used by millions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust, scalable, and testable features for mobile applications.
- Maintain and enhance existing apps, including bug fixes and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, QA, and other engineering teams, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and participate in on-call rotations for critical support issues.
- Engage in agile processes (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and provide realistic task estimations.
- Stay updated on mobile development trends and propose process and tool improvements.
- Optimize app performance in areas like network usage, battery consumption, storage, and app launch time.
- Draft engineering specifications and ensure timely project delivery.
Qualifications:
- With 5+ years of mobile development experience, with 3+ years in Flutter and proficiency in Dart.
- Strong grasp of programming paradigms (e.g., OOP, TDD) and clean architectural patterns like MVVM.
- Experience with maintainable code, API design, unit/UI testing, and managing large-scale applications.
- Proficiency in tools for crash analytics, remote debugging, and CI pipelines.
- Proven ability to take ownership of features end-to-end and deliver results with accountability.
- Experience in backend development or native iOS/Android development.
- Familiarity with collaborating across global teams and large-scale environments.
