General Overview
The incumbent will be a shared resource between the Strategy & Analytics and Sustainability teams, and is responsible for the monitoring of the energy market developments & trends; supporting the team in the execution of the corporate strategies and regular reporting to the Board and/or senior management team on KPIs performance and action items arising out of various strategic review and business planning activities. The incumbent is also responsible for conducting in-depth environmental, social, and governance (ESG) analyses and reporting, interpreting complex ESG data, identifying trends, and formulating actionable insights to enhance ESG performance. The incumbent will also collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote sustainable practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:
LNG Market Insights & Analysis
- Conduct research and monitor LNG market trends, business models for energy-related activities including new developments and regulatory requirements related to energy transition. Keep abreast with advances and innovation in the energy industry (e.g. technology and commercial practices) that are relevant to SLNG’s corporate vision.
- Coordinate, consolidate and integrate different sources of information for internal & external stakeholder communications.
- Work closely with internal functions and supports the leadership and management teams in developing regular summary on LNG market developments, news and insights and recommendations
- Support business analytics requirements for various business functions, including working with stakeholders to develop and/or enhance use of business analytics dashboards to guide decision-making processes.
- Manage subscriptions to newsletter, database, publications and recommend solutions to bridge data gap (if any).
Corporate Planning & Reporting
- Assist in the annual business planning processes and development of strategic plans, in support of SLNG’s business growth, sustainability & energy transition goals.
- Support planning and organisation of management retreats for offsite discussions
- Support development and alignment of corporate KPIs to strategic initiatives, and periodic reporting (e.g. monthly, quarterly) to the Board and/or senior management team on progress of work-plans & KPIs performance, analyse results and identify areas for improvement.
- Support implementation of performance management tool (e.g. electronic dashboards) to track and benchmark business performances (corporate strategy KPI and score cards)
ESG Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather relevant information, insights, and feedback on ESG initiatives.
- Assist in developing communication materials to inform stakeholders about ESG initiatives and progress.
ESG Data Collection & Analysis
- Custodian and maintenance of ESG Performance Dashboard and Data Base
- Collect, track, and analyse ESG-related data, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Interpret data trends and provide insights to support ESG strategy and reporting.
- Conduct benchmarking analyses to compare ESG performance with industry standards.
- Track carbon emissions and coordinate scenario analysis of emissions profile based on business projections.
ESG Reporting and Compliance
- Prepare ESG reports in accordance with recognized frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB-IFRS and UN SDGs.
- Ensure compliance with all local, regional and international ESG regulations.
ESG Strategy
- Collaborate with respective teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives that align with strategic goals.
- Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact, enhance social initiatives, and strengthen governance practices.

- Conduct, review and/ or participate in risk assessment on Sustainability and Climate Related Risks and Opportunities
- Conduct research on ESG trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, and provide updates and insights on emerging ESG issues.
Others
- Support and perform other duties and participate in the development and execution of projects/ initiatives as assigned
- Assist in organizing and conducting workshops, training sessions, and meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of working experience in strategic or corporate planning and/or in ESG analysis, sustainability consulting, or a similar role within a corporate or consulting environment.
- Relevant ESG certifications preferred
- Engaging personality with good interpersonal and communication skills, has a curious mind that is able to learn independently and work well in team settings.
- Good stakeholder management and engagement skills who is comfortable interacting with leadership and management teams.
- Good conceptual and analytical skills with an aptitude towards problem-solving and able to organise information in a logical and systematic manner. Meticulous and detailed in processes and procedures.
- Strong writing and presentation abilities.
- Proficient with MS Office applications. Experience in data analysis and use of Power BI or other data visualization tools will be advantageous.
