IT Business Partner Responsibilities:
- Manage the duty roster of staff supporting the IT needs of the department cluster, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
- Ensure service requests are appropriately followed up on and resolved by the relevant service teams.
- Proactively engage with business users to address issues, gather feedback, and escalate matters as needed to ensure prompt resolution.
- Collaborate with the Central IT team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide expert guidance on IT policies, operations, compliance, and other related topics.
- Lead the resolution of critical incidents affecting IT service delivery, driving prompt actions to restore services and minimize disruptions.
- Set priorities for IT operations, support activities, initiatives, and incident resolution, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Continuously assess and streamline processes to improve operational efficiency and enhance user experience.
- Monitor the performance of the NUS IT team and vendors, tracking KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies regarding infrastructure systems, platforms, data, and databases.
- Contribute to IT operations and support strategy planning, advising on best practices and future needs.
- Lead and manage the audit response process, ensuring timely closure of audit findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of hands-on IT experience, with a focus on systems administration, virtualization, network and firewall management, web server technologies, and security operations.
- 3+ years of experience providing infrastructure solutions, with a proven ability to deliver successful projects.
- Strong knowledge of operational and security frameworks, with hands-on expertise in best practices like ITIL and ISO 27001.
- Proficient technical experience in one or more of the following:Linux/Windows operating system administration
Microsoft Windows Clustering and Active Directory
Security and operational tools such as HCL BigFix, Trend Micro Vision One, and Splunk
VMware virtualization, public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) - Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail, able to dig into complex issues and find solutions.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically under pressure.
