Role Responsibilities:
- Hardware design and development of battery protection circuit, including sizing, selection and control for contactors and relays.
- Design and development of battery sensor circuit, including circuit design, component selection, and testing/calibration of voltage, current, and temperature sensors.
- Software development of battery protection scheme in BMS including over/under voltage, over current, and over temperature protections.
- Evaluation of battery State-of-Charge (SoC) and the associated firmware development in BMS.
- Study, comparison and selection of proper micro controller unit (MCU) to implement the BMS firmware.
Requirements:
- Higher Nitec/Diploma in Electrical/Power Engineering or equivalent
- BMS protection circuit design and testing.
- Firmware development in MCU for battery protection.
- Design and testing of measurement circuits in BMS.
- Sourcing and procurement of various electrical components.
- Project planning and implementation.
This position involves liaising with counterparts in China and requires frequent travel to China.
