Accounts Assistant

Responsibilities

General Ledger Management:

  • Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger
  • Record daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process invoices and payment requests
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers
  • Ensure proper system of filing of documents and correspondences

Bank Reconciliations:

  • Reconcile company bank accounts and resolve discrepancies

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Support with the preparation of management reports and variance analysis

Month-End & Year-End Closing:

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and adjustments

Ad-hoc Financial Tasks:

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as required

Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar junior accounting role or internship
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial statements in accordance with SFRS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and knowledge in accounting software, Tally will be preferred
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn
