Responsibilities
General Ledger Management:
- Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger
- Record daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process invoices and payment requests
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers
- Ensure proper system of filing of documents and correspondences
Bank Reconciliations:
- Reconcile company bank accounts and resolve discrepancies
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support with the preparation of management reports and variance analysis
Month-End & Year-End Closing:
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and adjustments
Ad-hoc Financial Tasks:
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as required
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar junior accounting role or internship
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial statements in accordance with SFRS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and knowledge in accounting software, Tally will be preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn
