Our client is a leading player in the Asian Reinsurance market, renowned for its innovative risk solutions and exceptional client service. They are looking for a Facultative & Treaty Claims Manager to lead the team.


Your new role

  • Oversee the entire claims process for facultative and treaty reinsurance, from intake to settlement
  • Interpret policy terms, conditions, and limits to ensure accurate claims processing.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to validate claims, gather necessary documentation, and assess coverage.
  • Evaluate claim submissions to determine liability, coverage, and required reserves. Analyse claim trends to inform underwriting decisions.
  • Negotiate claim settlements with stakeholders to achieve fair and timely resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate claim records, ensuring regulatory compliance and company standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners to provide claim updates and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with external service providers to support claim investigations and settlement negotiations.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant claims handling.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory developments and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Insurance, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in reinsurance claims management, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, with a strong grasp of facultative and treaty reinsurance principles.
  • Technical proficiency in claims processing systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex claims and make informed decisions.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality
