1. Job Purpose
The supervisor is required to perform the portering duties of transporting/escorting patients, and dispatching of documents, specimens, medications, blood and mortuary cases. Supervisor is also responsible for managing porters timesheets and leave forms, asset inventory and portering system.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
2.1 Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)
2.1.1 Transport/escort the correct patient (identify through Name and NRIC#) via wheelchairs or trolley as per the standard operating procedure set by the department.
2.1.2 Ensure patient safety and care are provided throughout the course of duty.
2.1.3 Collect and dispatch documents, specimens, medications and blood.
2.1.4 Ensure standard of hygiene set by infection control are met.
2.1.5 Conduct regular checks on the ground to ensure compliance by porters.
2.1.6 Manage the timesheets and leave forms of porters assigned.
2.1.7 Assist to attend feedback and complaints from users.
2.2 Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)
2.2.1 Assist in the wheel chair and trolley inventory
2.2.2 Assist in conducting training and audits for porters
2.2.3 Assist in managing the portering system as and when required
2.2.4 Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein as assigned by.
3. Job Specification/Requirements
3.1 Qualification: Preferably diploma or higher
3.2 Experience: At least 3 years experience in supervisory level
3.3 Skills: Good communication skills and computer literate
3.4 An eye for detail and a high level of initiative.
3.5 Service oriented and customer focus.
3.6 Able to work as a team
