Position Summary:

IT Program Manager will be responsibleto lead the company level IT programs. One such program currently running is the rollout of a global SAP template across various locations.

Based in Singapore, the ideal candidate will have functional background in SAP (PP, QM, SD, MM, or FICO), but will focus exclusively on project management responsibilities, including vendor management and project governance.

This role will involve managing the rollout globally, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope.

The ideal candidate will have 14-18 years of total experience, with significant exposure to SAP projects.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Project Management:

  • Lead the project management of the global SAP template rollout, focusing on planning, execution, and monitoring of project deliverables.
    • Oversee the implementation of SAP PP and QM modules within the global template framework across multiple countries.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure the successful and timely completion of the project.
    • Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.

2. Vendor Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, managing relationships and ensuring they meet contractual obligations.
  • Oversee vendor performance and hold regular reviews to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
  • Negotiate with vendors as needed to ensure project goals are achieved within budget and scope.

3. Stakeholder Management & Communication:

  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project progress, risks, and any required decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regional teams from various locations, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate communication between the global and local project teams, focusing on project logistics and delivery.

4. Global Template Rollout:

  • Ensure the successful rollout of the global SAP template across multiple regions, aligning local requirements with the global strategy.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in the implementation process across all regions involved.
  • Support other global and regional rollouts as required.

5. Project Focus:

  • Focus solely on project management tasks (timeline, budget, resources, risk management), leveraging existing resources to handle the functional and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with business analysts, solution architects, and technical teams to ensure alignment without needing to act as the conduit between business and technical teams.

Position Requirement


1. FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Management, or a related field.
  • PMP or Prince2 and SAP – certifications are mandatory


2. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 14-18 years of total experience in SAP-related projects (functional and/or project management).
  • SAP functional background in one or more of the following modules: PP, QM, SD, MM, or FICO.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale SAP projects, particularly across multiple regions.
  • Strong vendor management experience, with a proven ability to manage third-party deliverables.


3. TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive large, complex projects to successful completion in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of SAP systems, particularly with a functional background in SAP PP, QM, SD, MM, or FICO.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with stakeholders across various levels and regions.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and ensure project alignment with global strategies.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

4. Travel Requirements:

  • To travel frequently.
