Royal IHC is currently recruiting a MARINE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN for our Singapore office.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dredging equipment, including pumps and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Assembly and Disassembly: Assist in the assembly and disassembly of dredger components, adhering to safety and quality standards to ensure efficient operations.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments on various dredger systems to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and operators to develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Workshop Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in proper working condition and readily available. Ensure the accuracy of the inventory stored in the workshop. Conduct safety inspections and ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Procurement Support: Support the procurement of spare parts and materials, maintaining inventory records and ensuring timely availability for repairs. Maintain accurate records of inventory and procurement activities.
- Documentation: Accurately document maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with company protocols and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Proven Mi. 5 years of experience in marine mechanical engineering or Marine-Shipyard field.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Positive mindset with a proactive, “sure I’ll get that done” attitude.
