These include installations in India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore.
Role
We are looking for a highly passionate individual to join our dynamic, fast growing team in Asia. The person will have an entrepreneurial spirit, who is a mature leader, hands-on, and a team player, that can influence up and down a distributed organization, especially at senior levels.
Directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this member of the Finance leadership team will lead the Southeast Asia finance function in ensuring that all accounting, management, and statutory reporting are executed at a consistent and accurate level and ensuring a robust Group control environment and adherence to Group policies is maintained.
Responsibilities
Group Controllership
· Ensure accuracy of accounting and reporting across the Group
· Ensures timeliness and accuracy of reports across the Group, in accordance with the local and international Accounting Standards
· Review of monthly consolidation reports, workings and proofs prepared by the Group reporting team
· Manage internal and external audit processes and relationships
· Lead the Group Audit Process and assist with the preparation of required documents and workings for audit purpose
· Management of audit and finance compliance issues regarding statutory/legal entities, legal obligations, trade and commercial agreements
· Ensure the control environment is maintained, and compliance with all fiscal and statutory requirements.
· Responsible for the management of the Finance control framework, including identifying the control and process gaps, improving policies and process flows when required
· Responsible for integration of policies and/or global process by acquiring the necessary understanding of each regional site, working through local operations business partners, to provide the necessary guidance, support and /or training to ensure effective execution.
SEA Finance Lead
· Responsible for the month-end closing and reporting of all Southeast Asia entities in the Group (7 countries)
· Reviews the financial information and related accounting entries passed by Southeast Asia Finance team and/or service providers
· Responsible for regional FP&A and provides regional support to the CFO and Group Treasury in their working capital management
· Work with other functional teams (including other finance support teams) to work effectively with business partners to resolve complex operations and business issues in a holistic manner that cross multiple functions and geographies.
· Work closely with regional Finance business partners in directing the accurate and timely submission of budgets and forecasts
· Oversees regional support to the Group Reporting team in driving improvements on the quality of reports and analysis
· Other ad hoc projects or duties as assigned
Experience
· Degree in Accountancy / Finance or ACCA with CA and/or CPA accreditation
· Min. 10 years of relevant working experience (audit, controllership, regional finance management)
· Experience in global company, and in diverse areas of finance and business support
· Experience in finance transformation in an emerging enterprise will be an advantage
· Assertive and good in complex problem solving
· Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills
· Organized and details-oriented
