Corporate Communications Manager

Meranti Power Pte. Ltd.

Meranti Power Pte Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is establishing a multi-discipline project team and corporate team to facilitate and ensure timely implementation of power generating station projects and thereafter, operation and maintenance of the power generating station.


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Communications Manager to join our fast-paced startup. The Corporate Communications Manager will report to Principal Manager, Human Resource and possess strong track records in corporate communications, with the ability to design and execute policies and processes from the ground up. The Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for hands-on execution of Meranti Power’s opening ceremony, setting the tone for our internal and external corporate public brand image.


You will play a key role in shaping the communication strategies, liaison with media, copywriting, editorial support, website development and content management, internal and external corporate branding, events management, vendor management and crisis management.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive corporate communications strategies to promote the company's brand, mission, and values.
  • Establish and formalize communications policies and procedures, ensuring alignment across all levels of the organization.
  • Design effective internal and external communications strategies to support company objectives, including crisis communication and reputation management.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the opening ceremony, ensuring seamless event logistics, media engagement, and stakeholder communication.
  • Lead the development of speech content, presentations, and any promotional materials for the ceremony.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of corporate events such as Opening Ceremony Day activities, ensuring the smooth operation of all communications-related aspects, including media coverage, internal and external announcements, and guest management.
  • Foster strong communication channels between different teams, providing clear updates and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Design and implement employee communications programs, including website development, intranet updates, and town halls.
  • Manage the company’s public relations efforts, including media relations, press releases, and proactive outreach.
  • Craft messaging for both digital and traditional media, ensuring consistency with brand identity.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including investors, customers, and media outlets, to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Strengthen the company’s brand identity through consistent messaging across all platforms and communication channels.
  • Ensure that all communication materials reflect the startup’s innovative, energetic, and professional image.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of communications strategies and initiatives, providing reports to leadership on outcomes.
  • Adjust communications efforts based on insights and feedback, ensuring continuous improvement.


Requirements:

  • Education in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years of managerial experience in corporate communications, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in organizing and managing large events, including corporate ceremonies and public engagements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Hands-on attitude with a willingness to manage execution details in addition to strategy development.
  • Willing to work in construction site office during construction stage and Jurong Island. (Morning transportation pick-up points available at different parts of Singapore.)
