- Market Intelligence Gathering:Collect and apply market intelligence from sales, marketing, key accounts, and other sources.
Manage and integrate intelligence received via EDI.
- Demand Planning Exceptions:Address issues such as out-of-control demand, forecast bias, and unusual month-to-date demand.
- Forecast Accuracy:Use performance metrics tools to measure accuracy, assess forecast quality, and identify major sources of error.
Address and rectify forecast biases and inconsistencies.
- Integrated Business Planning (IBP):Participate in IBP processes to align the demand plan with the overall business plan (OP/QOR).
- Product Life Cycle Management:Handle demand planning for product life cycle stages, including new product launches, end-of-life, and phase-in/phase-out processes.
- Statistical Forecast Optimization:Adjust and cleanse historical demand data for accurate forecasting.
Determine appropriate aggregation levels for statistical calculations.
- Data Integrity:Maintain and update the demand planning system by realigning data and removing obsolete entries.
- Forecast Consumption Parameters:Recommend optimal settings for forecast consumption parameters to align forecasts with sales orders.
- Intercompany Planning:Plan for requirements from non-deployed countries ("Rest of World" or "ROW") during interim states.
- Global Demand Plan Oversight:Ensure the global demand plan's integrity across regions with multiple planners.
Provide key inputs to inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and phase-outs.
Support supply and production planning teams with analytics and process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation & Logistics, Customer Service, and/or Marketing.
- At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation & Logistics, Customer Service, and/or Marketing.
- Experience in Demand Planning.
- Proficiency in:Supply Planning (SP) and Production Planning (PP).
Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
Analytical tools like Excel, Minitab, etc.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional and international teams.
- APICS certification is an advantage.
- Experience representing supply chain organizations in business teams.
- Familiarity with LSS (Lean Six Sigma) methodologies.
