Responsibilities:
· Oversee the planning, design, and execution of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for the data centre construction project, ensuring they meet technical and regulatory requirements.
· Lead and coordinate MEP engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into the overall construction schedule.
· Review and approve MEP designs, ensuring they are aligned with project specifications, client requirements, and best practices.
· Provide technical support to the project team, assisting with complex MEP-related issues and resolving design or construction challenges.
· Ensure MEP installations meet the highest quality standards, including compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
· Oversee the procurement of MEP materials and equipment, and manage subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality of work.
· Manage the MEP portion of the project budget, track costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
· Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards within all MEP works on-site.
· Track the progress of MEP works, preparing regular reports on milestones, issues, and performance to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
· Oversee the commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring all systems are properly tested and integrated before the final handover to the client.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CEM, LEED) are a plus.
· Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in MEP management, with a strong background in data centre construction or other large-scale projects.
· In-depth knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection), as well as design and installation processes.
· Strong leadership abilities with the capability to manage teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and communicate complex technical information clearly.
· Proven ability to identify and resolve technical issues, implement effective solutions, and make decisions under pressure to keep the project on track.
