Position Overview
The data migration and deployment lead will have to plan and execute end-to-end data migration and cutover activities. This lead role will need to liase with legacy systems and incumbent vendors to ensure migrated data is correct and complete according to the scope of work. He or she will also need to liase with various teams across the organization to plan and execute the cutover activities for each site roll out.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead in data migration of records from existing systems to the new system and lead the system cutover for roll out to respective sites.
- Ensure the data migration and cutover processes, schedule and scope are met.
- Lead team to perform all data migration and cutover activities, data mapping, data collation from existing systems to the new system.
- Prepare data migration specs and cutover specs.
- Conduct code review, unit testing, integration test, data migration verification test, and cutover test activities.
- Troubleshoot issues and propose solutions in line with industry best practices.
- Manage vendors for responsibilities outlined in contracts and statement of work.
- Manage effective data migration uploads for testing and production rollout.
Requirements
- End-to-end experience and knowledge in planning and executing Data Migration tasks, as well as system cutover.
- Knowledge in SAP products such as ISH, BRIM, HANA, FICO would be advantageous.
- Effective vendor management skills required.
- Strong leadership skills required.
- Must be resourceful and take initiative to learn.
- More than 5 years of IT experience, in particular data migration would be an advantage.
- Must have a recognized IT degree.
