Sales Engineer
A Global US MNC that designs and manufactures industrial electric heaters, sensors, and controllers is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer selling into major industrial companies like Life Sciences, Medical, Food and Beverages, Oil & Gas, Power and Renewable Energy Industries to join their growing team.
Position Summary
- Identify and win sales opportunities to realize strategic objectives within Area of Responsibility (AOR) and provide product and application knowledge for customers and other Sales team members.
- Responsible for the advanced skills of sales positioning, product instruction and customer application solving techniques.
- The Sales Engineer will be subject matter expert in the applications of thermal products with a strategic focus on attraction and retention of accounts within assigned coverage areas.

Skills, Abilities and Mastery
Services
- Provides detailed Product, Application and Thermal System knowledge to customers;
- Utilizing proven sales tactics identify and close sales opportunities to realize strategic objectives within Area of Responsibility (AOR);
- Calls on Advocate and Key level customer accounts to identify thermal solution needs;
- Closes orders via team selling in AOR;
- Establishes goals and monitors progress toward revenue goals & territory targets;
- Responsible for new product promotion and training within AOR;
- Translates the enterprise business needs into tangible actions to achieve sales goals;
- Discerns customer queries and escalations to determine appropriate response(s) and resolutions;
- Mentors sales team members and factory support staff on complex selling situations;
Planning
- Participate in account strategy development with other sales channels and professionals;
- Work with internal technical sales support to develop on quote / proposal delivery and negotiations;
- Coordinate customer issue resolution with internal resources;
Business Partner
- Work closely with marketing on sales collateral needs and opportunities;
- Partner with marketing on Environment of the Customer / Voice of the Customer (EOC/VOC) opportunities, product life cycle, and other product management initiatives;
- Build collaborative relationships to improve customer value;
Center of Expertise (COE)
- Opportunity Management Process understanding;
- Lead Management Process;
- Conversion Penetration Retention (CPR) Process Knowledge;
- All levels of Product Quote Generation and Pricing Execution (within the pricing and quoting guidelines);

Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field for applicable jobs and 8+ years’ experience;
- Technical certificate considered with appropriate experience and performance;
- Project management experience;
- Leadership training
