Responsibilities
- Responds readily to any train-borne equipment failure in depot and mainline, and to effect restoration of a failed system or equipment to a normal and safe operating state in shortest possible time.
- Maintains, repairs, trouble-shoots, inspects, diagnoses all rolling stock equipment, and to provide first line corrective actions to train-borne fault.
- Performs pre-service checks on trains prior to revenue service and rectify any abnormality encountered during inspections.
- Shunts and drives Electric Trains when the need arises.
- Undertakes modification works and fleet-wide checks.
- Drive Electric Train in the Depot as and when require.
- Assists Senior / Technical Officer in planning and organizing maintenance activities.
- Ensures strict compliance and adherence to the safety rules and regulations, reports any hazard to the management.
- Maintains maintenance records and documentation in accordance with ISO quality standards and procedures.
- Acts as member of a re-railment team as required.
Requirements
- ITC / NTC / Higher NITEC / NITEC in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic Engineering) from ITE, preferably with minimum 2 years working experience in maintenance / repair / installation of electrical or mechanical equipment
