Job Title: Senior Site Quantity Surveyor (ID6009)
Location: Singapore Based (Office at City Hall, current project at Lakeside)
Working Hours: 5.5 Days work per week (8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturday Half Day - can claim OT)
Salary: $4,200 - $5,000
Job Responsibilities:
• Contract Administration – attend to contract matters related to the Client / Consultants and Sub-contractors and ensure that the site staffs are aware of the contract obligations to client and subcontractor workscope.
• Procurement – sourcing Sub-contractors / Suppliers, call quotations, cost comparisons, request for PO bearing in mind to obtain the best price and conditions for the project budget.
• Progress claims & payments - Prepare & submit progress claims to the Client and assess Sub-contractors’ claims and prepare payment vouchers for approval such that the cash flow for the project are adequate and sufficient.
• Monitor and update monthly cost report to HQ and PM which consist of project expenses, financial status such that the HQ / PM can make necessary site adjustment if needed.
• VO Claims - Identify variation works and submit claims.
• Study Architect Instructions issued and report on time and cost implication (if any) to PM to make the appropriate decision.
• To assist the team in site coordination / arrange meetings with Sub-contractors and Suppliers for work progress purposes where necessary.
• To attend to project / technical meeting and advise PM on cost queries from Owner / Consultants in order for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
• Carry out proper and accurate measurement, ie taking-off quantities for claims / payments purpose to ensure no overpayment.
• Coordinate with the site team to prepare relevant documents for monthly progress report submission, i.e. cash flow, Sub-contractors list, AI list, VO list etc. as required for submission to the Client / Consultants.
• To work up the final costs of the project and each trades and advise the PM on the final account settlement with the Client and Sub-contractors such that all parties are amiable to the cost evaluation.
• Able to manage and mentor junior staff.
