[Contract Position]

This is a contract position that can be converted to a permanent role, subject to performance and divisional requirements.


Job Description

Provide IT support for users and be involved in the implementation of IT projects to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Initiate and execute procurement of IT equipment and services end-to-end.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyse requests raised by users and follow up with system administrator or application vendors for resolution
  • Ensure that the fixes/solutions provided by the vendors are appropriate and accurate before deploying to users.
  • Follow up on open items and ensure that they are closed on time within SLA.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and propose solutions
  • Verify the reports by the vendors for accuracy and completeness.
  • Understand the high level requirements and formulate solutions that are scalable.
  • Source for IT vendors to provide high quality services and solutions.
  • Ensure that procurement tasks are executed in adherence to the Finance and Procurement policies.
  • Track IT assets and the movement of IT inventory in the organisation.
  • Manage plan for phased asset replacement.
  • Execute tasks in accordance to IT SOPs.
  • Educate and brief staff on good IT practices.
  • Contribute to the different stages of IT project implementation.
  • Manage small scale projects.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in IT or Computer Science
  • Minimum two - five years of relevant experience in IT
  • Experienced in IT operations management, facilitiation, decision making, problem solving and influencing skills
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and is meticulous
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Able to participate in SINDA-wide events, as required
