THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Executive in Organisation Excellence (OE) Team will play a pivotal role in driving process improvements and operational efficiencies across the organization. This role is integral to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing productivity, and aligning operations with organizational goals. You will be responsible for analysing current workflows, recommending enhancements, and developing standardized practices to ensure quality and consistency in our processes. You will be working with stakeholders in achieving agreed upon goals and objectives through excellent project management. Additionally, you will oversee the Staff Suggestion Scheme, encouraging active staff engagement and leveraging valuable insights to promote operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence Initiatives:
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement, re-engineering, and streamlining across services.
- Support the design and rollout of operational excellence methodologies and assist in implementing change initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) that drive consistency, quality, and efficiency.
- Coordinate communication and training plans to ensure smooth transitions and staff readiness for operational changes.
- Manage change resistance by addressing staff concerns proactively and facilitating change acceptance.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and assess the impact of process enhancements.
- Staff Suggestion Scheme Management:
- Administer and oversee the Staff Suggestion Scheme to ensure effective operations and continuous staff participation.
- Evaluate, prioritize, and implement approved suggestions to drive organizational improvements.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee involvement in process enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant role, with a proven track record in operational improvement and staff engagement.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good presentation skills and able to write well
- Experience in the Singapore Social Service and Community Care sector is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing suggestion schemes or similar employee engagement initiatives is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, especially in process evaluation and data interpretation.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
