FP&A Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

1.Financial Planning & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Develop financial models to project future performance based on various scenarios.
  • Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide explanations for discrepancies

2.Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for business units.

3.Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and provide support.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide financial insights to guide decision-making.
  • Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, investments, and projects.
  • Participate in building specific FP&A business partnering capabilities such as Commercial Finance, Production Costing Finance, R&D Finance etc.

4.Ad Hoc Analysis:

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management.
  • Support special projects and initiatives that require financial expertise.

5.Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Assist in the implementation of financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial modeling and forecasting.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling software.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g. Netsuites, BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
