EY2 Chinese Teacher Job Scope
1. Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate Chinese lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and MOE (Ministry of Education) guidelines.
- Develop engaging and interactive activities that enhance children's understanding of the Chinese language.
- Foster a love for Chinese through storytelling, songs, rhymes, and hands-on activities.
2. Language Development:
- Introduce foundational Chinese vocabulary, sentence structures, and characters in a fun and interactive way.
- Encourage listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Chinese.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in Chinese language acquisition and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
3. Classroom Management:
- Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where children feel safe and motivated.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with co-teachers to provide consistent and supportive care for children.
4. Cultural Exposure:
- Introduce children to Chinese culture, traditions, and festivals (e.g., Chinese New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival).
- Organize cultural activities and events to enhance children's understanding and appreciation of Chinese heritage.
5. Parent Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress in Chinese language learning.
- Provide feedback during parent-teacher meetings and suggest activities to support language learning at home.
6. Professional Development:
- Attend workshops, training, and meetings to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with early childhood education trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve the overall learning experience.
7. Administrative Duties:

- Ensure the classroom is well-organized and resources for Chinese teaching are readily available.
8. Team Collaboration:
