Job Objectives
As an integral member of the Management team, you will play a key role in partnering the leaders to deliver effective and efficient services to our clients.
The Curriculum (Senior) Executive supports the Curriculum Head reviewing and writing of the Brand’s Curriculum, as well as to provide training for the teaching staff in implementing the Curriculum, in accordance with the HQ guidelines. The Curriculum (Senior) Executive must have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the Brand’s Curriculum, and must be very familiar with the pedagogical principles, teaching culture and expectations of the Curriculum. He or she must be able to translate best practices and innovative elements into implementation, as well as to provide a role model of high standards of professional, teaching and work culture.
Responsibilities
A. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
- Supports in reviewing and developing the Brand’s Curriculum.
- Supports in ensuring childcare centres deliver the Brand’s Curriculum in accordance with the guidelines and parameters established by theCurriculum Department.
- Supports in developing, planning and implementing curriculumtrainings/ update briefings for existing and new teaching staff, including ad-hoc trainings for new teaching staff recruited for new centre set up.
- Supports in supervising, training and mentoring new and existing Principals/Vice Principals/Sr. Teachers in the areas of Curriculum, to ensure most effective implementation of the Curriculum.
- Assist in ensuring that the learning environment, resources and pedagogical approach at the existing childcare centres are consistent with the standards established by the Curriculum Department.
- Provides coaching, guidance and support to childcare centres for SPARK certification.
- Review and conduct Curriculum validation and audit at the childcare centres on an annual basis, to ensure consistency and high-quality standards of curriculum implementation.
- Provides reports on centres’ progress in all areas of curriculum implementation.
- Conducts survey and research on Curriculum and its aspects of implementation, to ensure that the standards of Curriculum remain competitive and relevant to the market.
- Innovate and introduce new elements into the Curriculum on a continual basis in order to stay competitive and relevant in the market
B. OTHER AREAS
- Participate in the RFP (Request for Proposal) or tender process for any potential new business where appropriate, including the bid document, the financial analysis of new project, terms and conditions and sales presentations to clients (where applicable).
- Develops and maintain strong working relationships with Corporate Clients/Partners, ECDA officers, Community contacts and corporate personnel.
- Develops and maintain professional working relationships with employees at all levels.
- Where required to assist/lead and/or manage assigned projects.
Job specifications
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Care and Education, or equivalent
- At least 8 years of teaching and centre leadership experience combined
- In-depth understanding and knowledge of ECE centre operations
- Familiar with coaching/mentoring and training
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Attention to detail with good problem analysis and solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of staff andacross Departments
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
