Your new role
Here is a summary of the role you are applying for;
Join their Control and Instrumentation team as a maintenance expert, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of instrumentation and control systems in their power plant.
Below are some of the key responsibilities for the role;
- Executing maintenance work efficiently and effectively, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance
- Troubleshooting and rectifying equipment failures and malfunctions
- Testing and recommissioning rectified systems and equipment
- Performing overhaul, inspection, calibration, and servicing tasks during scheduled plant outages
- Implementing modification and upgrading plans to enhance system reliability and availability
- Maintaining detailed records and reports using computer-based software (Maximo, MS Word, and MS Excel)
- Assisting Engineers and Technical Officers in maintenance work
- Supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with safety standards
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate, should have;
- Diploma/NITEC in Electronics Engineering
- Knowledge of Instrumentation and control systems
- 2 years of experience in the Power Plant or Oil and Gas industry (preferred)
- Self-driven and team-oriented with a positive work attitude
- Availability for standby and emergency calls
- Strong safety mindset and good workplace safety behavior
- Willingness to be part of the CERT team and participate in emergency responses
