Scope of Services
The Services required are set out as follows:
• Plan and conduct ICT related training for staff and students.
• Execute in-house ICT related design and editing work.
• Provide ICT & AVA support for school events and programmes.
• Assist in management and maintenance of ICT & AVA equipment and resources.
• Assist in administration of school-based ICT related systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Plan and conduct ICT related training for staff and students. The ICT Executive cum Trainer will plan, design and conduct ICT baseline standards training for students from P1 to P6. He/she will also assist in the assessment of the students’ attainment of ICT skills. The ICT Executive cum Trainer will also conduct relevant ICT training for staff.
2. Execute in-house ICT related design and editing work The ICT Executive cum Trainer will conceptualise, design, layout and execute school-assigned design projects emulating current trends whilst maintaining creativity. School-assigned design and editing projects include:
• Conceptualisation and consultation on school corporate image
• Marketing and/or publicity materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, bookmarks, postcards, banners
• School collaterals such as pupil diary, calendars and camp-shirts
• In-house publication such as school magazine.
• Photo and video editing.
• Wall murals
1. Provide ICT & AVA support for school events and programmes.
The ICT Executive cum Trainer will support the school’s ICT department in
handling day to day ICT management. He/she will also provide AVA support,
inclusive of sound mixing, photography and video, for school events and
corporate matters.
2. Assist in management and maintenance of ICT & AVA equipment and resources.
The ICT Executive cum Trainer will assist the HOD/ICT with managing the
school’s ICT & AVA resources such as the replacement and condemnation of
ICT & AVA equipment and the managing of loaning of ICT & AVA equipment.
3. Assist in administration of school-based ICT related systems.
The ICT Executive cum Trainer will assist the HOD/ICT in the administration of
school-based ICT systems such as the digital signage, timetabling software,
OAS scanning system & Parent-Teacher Meeting booking system.
4. Other tasks
• Other tasks for the ICT Executive cum Trainer may include proactively scanning the market for technology trends and new technology tools that support teaching and learning and, educate and update school staff.
• Subject to exigency of service, the ICT Executive cum Trainer may be activated at times to work beyond the normal standard working hours. In the event that the ICT Executive cum Trainer is activated during these times, time off will be compensated to the ICT Executive cum Trainer.
Qualification, Skill & Experience of the Contractor’s Personnel
The Personnel should preferably have the following qualifications, skills
and experience:
• Diploma level (IT-based)
• Good working knowledge of photo-editing, animation and website design
• Good working knowledge of computer and website programming, including C++, Java and XHTML
• Other certifications in ICT skills such as A+, CCNA, ACE, ACI or MCSE are welcome
• Experience in graphic design
• Preferably 2 years’ experience in conducting ICT training to students in primary or secondary school.
