Your new role
Here is a summary of the role you are applying for;
Join their Control & Instrumentation team as a key player in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of their power plant's control systems and instrumentation.
Below are some of the key responsibilities for the role;
- Lead the execution of maintenance work, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Respond to plant failures and forced outages, ensuring timely rectification and restoration
- Plan and execute plant overhaul activities with a focus on safety and timeliness
- Develop and implement modification and upgrading plans to enhance system reliability and availability
- Manage procurement and maintenance needs, including spare parts and external services
- Lead and develop a team of technical officers and technicians
- Demonstrate expertise in Control and Instrumentation, safety, and statutory requirements
- Showcase strong work ethics, analytical skills, and communication abilities
- Be available for emergency calls and participate in CERT team responses
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate, should have;
- Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of Control and Instrumentation
- Good working knowledge of safety and statutory requirements
- Strong work ethics and team player mentality
- Analytical, technology, and communication skills
- Availability for standby and emergency calls
- Knowledge of cyber security (advantageous)
- Safety mindset and good workplace safety behavior
