Duties And Responsibilities Include
· Able to understand and follow directions/orders from lead
diver/supervisors.
· Ensure that personal diving equipment is working correctly and is
suitable for the planned dive
· Ensure full understanding of the dive plan and is competent to
carry out the planned task
· Know the routine and emergency procedures
· Report any medical problem or symptoms experienced during or
after the dive
· Ability to identify and report any equipment faults, other potential
hazards, near misses, or accidents
· Perform topside and underwater rigging
· Setup and operate all equipment as directed by the diving
supervisor
· Comply with company policies and procedures.
· Practices safe driving techniques.
· When in customer’s worksite, comply with rules and regulations
on safety and work methods.
· Comply with SS511: Diving at Work.
· Comply with established Operation procedures.
· Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
· Adhere to Company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental
policies and procedures.
Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment.
· Must support, implement, enforce and be conversant with the
QHSE policies and procedures.
Required Skills
· Previous maritime experience and knowledge of diving support
equipment will be added advantage
· Must possess working knowledge of industry requirements for
equipment
· Ability to wear a commercial diving hat 25-30lbs, for approximately
4hrs daily
· Ability to work in all weather conditions; rain, sleet, storm, heat,
etc.
· Ability to work out on remote or distant projects as needed for
several days at a time
· Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively
· Shall be in possession of an approved medical certificate and a
current logbook containing a photograph and the diver’s name. The
the logbook is to be kept up to date with statutory information on each
dive
· Shall be in possession of valid diver certification in compliance
with SS511: Diving at Work Prerequisites
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background
check
· All employees must be legally authorized to work
