Brief Summary
The Regional Finance Director partners with the Commercial SVP to drive growth sustainably by driving efficiency in the investments being made to drive topline and bottom line as well. The focus remains on improving topline, healthy margins and minimizing financial risks by understanding the key business drivers, analysing key financial metrics, providing value-added analysis to the commercial team, support to sales/finance management (budget analysis, portfolio management, new investment decisions and financial forecasting). The role needs to support cross-functional teams within the taste business.
Key Activities
- Provide on-going challenge and support to top line management to improve performance and manage risks and opportunities in all aspects of Sales and Gross profit parameters. Hold fort on Key Business KPIs viz. Revenue, Mix, Segments, Margins and Working Capital for a large business size.
- Be the steering Co-pilot of the regional Taste Business, responsible for regional Taste P&L from revenue to EBITDA contribution.
- Be the strategic partner of the Senior Vice President, Taste business and the Executive Team for the region. Provide accurate, relevant, timely financial & non-financial analyses to the leadership team for monthly activities, and business cases for investments or strategic scenarios.
- Preparing Annual business plan, financial budgets, rolling forecasts, capex budgeting and variance analysis.
- Closely collaborate with Sales, Commercial and Operational Managers to develop and improve business, customer, and product performance reporting.
- Formulate Drive Business Plans / Strategies for the Market for specific categories and Division to operationalize the short term and long-term plans.
- Facilitate business reviews with data analysis, detailed cost and revenue bridges and follow through with business leaders on actionable items for improving business metrics over a period of time.
- Help evaluate all commercial/financial proposals from the business team and help take a data-backed decision.
- Cost control & cost management. Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs (RSA) and improve ways for Free Cash Flow Management & Liquidity Management Plan.
- Preparation of monthly management reports and presentation for the higher management and provide useful insights into the business activities. Crisp Presentations and creative visualizations explaining financial business results - Deliver key messages to Category / Business leaders / Executive Committee and manoeuvre to a decision.
- Evaluate proposals within the region for Mergers and Acquisitions and engage in discussions with prospective buyers/sellers along with the M&A team.
- Manage a small team and drive continuous improvement by providing various avenues for professional development and fostering a culture of oneness among the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and a relevant professional certification like CA, CPA, CFA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10+ years of overall finance experience with current experience as Finance Director, Business Controller, Financial Controller having overseen region or Segment of minimum $500M to $800M in revenues. Experience built in Flavors, FMCG environment is highly preferred.
- Strong business and strategic acumen, leadership skills, demonstrating courage and conviction to drive change and to positively challenge and convey opinions at Executive meetings.
- Team player, hands-on, good communication and ability to adapt to multiple interlocutors. Effective and professional communication and organization skills. Capacity to produce and communicate a synthetic view. Self-motivated, resilient, capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
