The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.
The Research Associate will take on a significant role in development of prototype optics/imaging system prototypes, under the SERI-NTU ADVANCED OCULAR ENGINEERING (STANCE) Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing machine learning and deep learning models to address clinical challenges in ophthalmology.
- Conducting research on medical image processing and multimodal imaging using clinical systems and novel prototypes.
- Collaborating with NTU and SNEC/SERI researchers to align with research strategy and goals.
- Managing research projects and supervising students and research assistants.
- Publishing research outcomes in top-tier journals and presenting findings at academic conferences.
- Drafting reports and contributing to research management under the guidance of Principal Investigators.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Information Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience in Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), software development, and OCT signal analysis is an advantage.
- Proficiency in programming and image processing tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, cross-functional research team.
