Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision and Management
- Coordination: Coordinate with various teams, including design engineers, surveyors, and contractors, to ensure that underground roadworks proceed according to plan.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project standards, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones and make sure tasks are completed on schedule, addressing any delays or issues.
2. Structural and Excavation Works
- Excavation and Shoring: Oversee excavation works, ensuring the stability of underground structures by implementing shoring and other support systems.
- Installation of Utilities: Manage the installation of drainage systems, electrical conduits, and other utilities that will be integrated within the underground road.
- Piling and Foundations: Supervise piling and foundation work to ensuring the works carried out as per design and specification.
- RC Works: Oversee the reinforcement and concrete works for structural elements, ensuring proper formwork, rebar installation, and concrete pouring to meet design specifications and strength requirements.
3. Temporary Works and Safety
- Traffic Diversion Planning: Coordinate and liaising with LTA/QPS for road diversions and traffic management to maintain safety and minimize disruption for the public.
- Safety Compliance: Enforcing strict safety protocols, including site signage, ventilation, and emergency preparedness in the confined underground environment.
4. Technical Documentation and Reporting
- Daily Reports: Document daily site activities, material usage, and workforce deployment.
- Technical Reviews: Conduct reviews of design changes, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure project objectives align with underground conditions.
- Liaison with Stakeholders: Regularly update stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and local authorities, on project status and address any regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Civil engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant project/construction site experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in LTA project
