Flying Fish Lab Pte Ltd is an Innovation Consultancy. We’re a 8 year old startup, young at heart but very experienced as we average more than 20 years of work experience across the team. Our small team is spread out across Singapore, Australia and Europe. Our clients are large MNCs, like Unilever, Mondelez, Kraft-Heinz, Kellogg’s, Fonterra, Coca-Cola, Abbott, AXA, Sennheiser and many others.
This person will report directly to the Head of Finance and work with the Partners as we are a small team and we work in a very open and collaborative way. This person will play a key support role in the development of the Finance Department, together with the Head of Finance. Having to work with Europe, to liaise with accountants for the company in Europe where necessary and in general liaising with clients from across the world, for all invoicing and payment matters, is another interesting aspect of this role.
Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting (80%) :
- Assist in monthly closing with partial or full set of accounts experience
- Prepare sales invoices and record receipts and follow up on overdue accounts
- Record monthly expenditure and update of daily cashflow
- Check and verify monthly staff claim
- Intercompany, creditors and bank reconciliation
- Prepare suppliers’ payment cycle
- Assist in preparing GST on quarterly basis
- Assist in preparing of balance sheet schedules
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties like tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities where required.
- Liaise with overseas accounting firm on finance admin duties, eg, providing expenditure receipts and bank documents etc.
Admin and HR (20%):
· Prepare Director’s claim on monthly basis;
· Involved in HR duties such as but not limited to, work pass application, and maintenance of Employee files.
· Record and keep track of employees’ leave benefits;
· Administrative support (travel, venues, materials, external participants…);
· Attend to office administrative duties (ordering of pantry items, liaise with cleaner/landlord admin staff…);
· Any other ad-hoc admin duties as required.

· We need a Self-starter & very proactive person!
· Willing to learn quickly, not afraid to speak up (or have a POV).
· Ability & tact to work across very different cultures (from Europe to Asia)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
· Min. 2-3 years of experience in accounting and administrative roles.
· Proficiency in accounting software (Quickbooks, Xero) and MS Office applications.
· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
