Job Summary
The Junior Treasury Dealer will support the bank’s treasury operations with a focus on executing money market transactions, managing liquidity, and assisting with KYC/CDD processes for onboarding counterparties. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in treasury functions, financial markets, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Money Market Operations
- Execute interbank money market transactions, including placements, borrowings, and repo agreements, under supervision.
- Monitor money market trends and report findings to senior dealers.
- Ensure accurate trade execution and settlement in compliance with internal policies.
2. Liquidity Management
- Assist in monitoring daily cash flow and liquidity positions.
- Support the optimization of short-term funding and investment strategies.
- Coordinate with internal teams to maintain adequate liquidity levels.
3. KYC/CDD and Onboarding
- Assist in the onboarding of new financial institution counterparties, ensuring compliance with KYC (Know Your Customer) and CDD (Customer Due Diligence) requirements.
- Collect, review, and verify customer information and documentation.
- Ensure that all onboarding processes comply with internal policies, AML(Anti-Money Laundering) regulations, and local regulatory standards.
- Maintain and update counterparty records in treasury and compliance systems.
4. Risk Management Support
- Assist in identifying and managing risks related to interest rates, FX, liquidity, and counterparty relationships.
- Ensure trades and onboarding processes align with the bank’s risk management framework.
5. Market Analysis
- Collect and analyze market data to support trading decisions.
- Prepare reports on market trends, interest rates, and liquidity conditions.
6. Operational Support
- Ensure timely and accurate input of trades into treasury systems.
- Reconcile transaction records and assist in resolving discrepancies.
7. Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with senior dealers, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with counterparties and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of money markets, financial instruments, treasury operations, and KYC/CDD requirements.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial systems or trading platforms is a plus.
