Job Description
The Event Director for FHA is the visionary leader responsible for the brand's overall ownership, exceptional customer experience, and sustained growth. This role focuses on market leadership by identifying expansion opportunities in adjacent markets and sectors through innovative strategies like mergers and acquisitions (M&A), new product launches, and geo-adaptations.
The Event Director is accountable for the brand's P&L, ensuring financial, operational, and customer performance excellence across all products. Collaborating with Marketing and Operations, the role emphasizes revenue growth and margin improvement, while driving innovation and long-term strategies to maintain the brand's industry prominence. The individual will be recognized as a thought leader, with deep market insight and a strong network of industry relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the value proposition and market positioning of FHA products.
- Improve customer experience and drive brand growth through M&A, new launches, and geographic expansions.
- Deliver complementary products, including conferences and seminars, to strengthen the brand ecosystem.
- Identify new market opportunities and integrate them into product and brand strategies.
- Lead the creation of 3-5 year brand strategies for sustained growth.
- Own the brand's P&L, ensuring financial, operational, and customer performance metrics are met.
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to set revenue targets and develop effective sales strategies.
- Maintain key customer relationships, ensuring alignment with their business strategies and needs.
- Oversee the design and strategic changes of the event floorplan to optimize customer experience.
- Innovate with new formats, features, and partnerships to attract buyers, enhance engagement, and increase revenue.
- Implement pricing strategies to boost profitability and achieve long-term goals.
Success Metrics
- Brand P&L performance and gross revenue.
- Year-on-year gross margin and profit growth.
- Customer satisfaction and loyalty indicators, including re-book rates and Net Promoter Scores (NPS).
- Market positioning, customer engagement, and industry eminence.
- Successful execution of new product launches and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- 12–15 years of experience in a brand or product role, including 5–8 years in a leadership position within a multinational organization.
- Proven success in developing and executing brand and sales strategies.
- Expertise in managing relationships with international customers across diverse regions and cultures.
- Charismatic, independent leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset with a proven ability to define and achieve revenue targets.
- Experience in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Strong collaboration skills within a matrixed business environment.
- Ability to inspire, engage, and build trusted relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to APAC (20–30%).
