Senior Manager, AI in Medicine Institute (AIMI)
The SingHealth Duke-NUS Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Institute (AIMI) is a joint institute between SingHealth and Duke-NUS Medical School. The Institute has 4 key priority areas:
- To drive the research and development of cutting-edge AI technologies and their application for healthcare for SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC)
- To promote the safe and responsible use of AI
- To support AI and data education
- To drive commercial partnership, that can encourage translation and commercialisation of developed technologies.
As the Senior Manager, you will be involved in supporting AI strategy, managing appointed faculty, grant management, grant commercialisation, and AI health publicity. Your key responsibilities include:
- Handling administrative processes and documentation to support the faculty.
- Sourcing and identification of suitable AI grant; managing grant calls, budget, resource management and submission of reports to the grant funding agency.
- Liaising with IP office, regulatory department and commercial partners to facilitate collaboration with industry partners, implementation and commercialisation for AI health projects.
- Supporting education initiatives including managing project/event updates on online portals, organising journal clubs and seminars, identifying suitable platforms for the AI team to showcase their projects
- Working closely with the Group Communications team to develop publicity materials for AI projects
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in either engineering, IT, finance or economics; Master’s or PhD will be advantageous.
- At least 10 years of academia or industry experience in commercial, health, medical or digital (non-medical) technology environment, with at least 4 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Understanding and experience in project and budget management in either commercial, banking, technology and healthcare domains
- Prior experience in dealing with industrial partners and collaborators, and in negotiating and completing relevant agreements thereof (research collaboration agreements, licences)
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute proactively as a team player.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
