Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- The Facility Design Lead shall be able to provide technical advice on waste management facilities, waste treatment technologies, waste treatment capacity
- Ensure that consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans and specifications are maintained on all contracts and in all engineering disciplines from the start to the end of the Project
- Oversee the entire design process, from concept to implementation, ensuring project is delivered on time, within specifications and meeting industrial standards
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and ensuring the quality in design work
- Manage design budgets, including cost estimation, resource allocation, and cost control
- Any other matters that may from time to time be delegated by the PD/PM
Requirements
The individual shall be:-
- a Professional Engineer/Chartered Engineer registered in his/her country of practice is preferred
- The Facility Design Leads shall have relevant engineering degree and professional certificates
- shall have at least 15 years of relevant engineering experience in the design and construction
- shall possess relevant experience in the planning and design of large scale waste management and water treatment facilities (e.g. WTE, sludge incineration, materials recovery and food waste treatment, electrical substation, etc.). The OE shall ensure that each of the key facilities within the project is led by a design lead with the relevant qualifications and area of specialisation
