Job Summary:
As a Marine Technical Engineer, you are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of marine vessels, machinery, and equipment. They provide technical expertise for construction, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance to ensure the reliability and functionality of vessels and related systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing and Overseeing daily vessel operations, including movements, documents and risk management.
- Ensuring compliance for Port state.
- Handling and checking ship and cargo documents, including customs compliance for international shipment, raise purchase procurement and purchase order for vessel request maintenance and repair.
- Tracking and reviewing of approved purchase requisition for all vessel.
- Assisting relevant departments with claims such as demurrage, cargo shortage, and commercial.
- Submitting monthly statistical reports, including operating rate statistics, demurrage and voyage reporting.
- Improving ship efficiency and reduce operational risk
- Engaging and deploying sea staff for vessel assignments.
- Managing planned maintenance system (PMS) repairs and maintenance activities documentation and report filling into marine department archive.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine & Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of international maritime regulations and environmental standards.
- Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience with vessel operations, maintenance, or technical troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel and work in challenging environments (e.g., shipyards or offshore).
- Proficient in English (Spoken and Written) & Microsoft Office.
- Team player and able to work within time constraints.
- Strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
