Operations Engineer
Industry: Pharmaceutical MNC
Job Description:
The Shift Operations Engineer will support and oversee production operations, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality regulations during 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance:Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Support lockout/tagout (LOTO), energy control, line-breaking, confined space entry, and work-at-height activities.
Maintain the shop floor in a state of safety and quality regulatory compliance, ensuring it is always inspection-ready.
- Operational Support:Execute production activities, including pre- and post-maintenance interventions (MI).
Coordinate resources based on criticality and priority with the Shift Team Supervisor (STS).
Assign and oversee tasks based on Manufacturing Standard Work (MSW) and Operation Standard Work (OSW).
- Troubleshooting:Participate in troubleshooting activities for processing issues and deviations.
Coordinate with other functions for immediate and preventive action as required.
- Compliance & Investigation:Assist in investigations, prepare reports, and troubleshoot findings related to EHS and quality issues.
Support risk assessments, develop job safety assessments, and participate in HAZOP reviews.
- Continuous Improvement:Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
Perform the Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) cycle for process enhancement.
- Documentation & Training:Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as part of change control processes.
Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
- Emergency Response:Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) when required.
