Business Function
Treasury & Markets (T&M) provides total solutions to serve clients' hedging and investment needs with a regional emphasis. Extends a broad range of capabilities in foreign exchange and derivatives, money market and securities trading, to corporations and financial institutions. Trades in a comprehensive product range, including foreign exchange, as well as interest rates and derivatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and close project plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Drive project scoping and initiation documents, business cases, and business requirements documents.
- Manage project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders across business and technology functions from Front, Middle, and Back Office.
- Work across business and technology lines to define, analyze, and lead improvements to business processes and procedures in line with best practices, regulatory and legal compliance.
- Manage project resources, budgets, scope, risks, schedules, progress, performance, deliverables, issues, escalations, and conflicts.
- Engage teams and stakeholders throughout all stages of projects (e.g., facilitating requirements gathering workshops, design specifications, identifying target operating models, user training needs, managing UAT, dress rehearsals, parallel runs, and Go-Live rollouts).
- Produce and maintain key project documentation throughout the project lifecycle (e.g., plans, status reports, and issue and risk logs).
- Prepare accurate and detailed project reports and presentations to update senior management on milestones and statuses.
- Effectively apply project management methodologies and enforce the bank’s project standards.
- Perform post-implementation reviews.
Requirements
- University graduate with a major in Business Management, Information Systems/Technology, or Finance from a recognized university.
- At least five years of experience managing large-scale, end-to-end projects in a global financial institution, responsible for all project aspects (managing users, technology partners, senior stakeholders, and external service providers).
- Certification in project management and/or Agile methodologies (Product Owner or Scrum Master) is advantageous.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, including verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Results-oriented, capable of engaging with multiple initiatives simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently to gather requirements, prepare project plans, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the tenacity to succeed and collaborate with people of diverse cultures across the region.
- Willing to challenge the status quo to drive better outcomes.
- Proficiency in standard office applications such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Knowledge of Treasury and/or Wholesale banking.
- Familiarity with Murex systems, particularly implementation or upgrade experience.
