Job Summary:
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
General
- Support the Engineering Manager in managing technical tasks to ensure the seamless execution of daily engineering operations.
- Evaluate the Engineering Department's operations to ensure broadcast quality aligns with industry standards.
- Stay informed about advancements in outdoor broadcast technologies and equipment.
Pre-Project Responsibilities:
- Test, prepare, evaluate, install, and upgrade all broadcast equipment required for projects.
- Delegate tasks to the team for testing and preparation to meet project deadlines set by the Technical Manager
During the Project:
- Provide technical support during project rotations, monitor support emails, and address incoming queries.
- Ensure proper functioning of broadcast equipment and systems, troubleshoot issues, and escalate unresolved problems with detailed technical reports to the Unit Manager or Support Team if necessary.
Post-Project Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe de-rigging and packing of video and broadcast equipment after an event.
- Assist the Unit Manager in compiling technical and crew reports for the project.
- Submit technical feedback on the overall system performance and setup to the Head of Engineering.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree or diploma in Broadcast Engineering, Audio Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Outside Broadcast (OB) systems and environments.
- Experience: Hands-on experience in operating and troubleshooting a range of OB equipment, including sound, communication, and IP systems.
- Professional Background: At least three years of work experience in an Outside Broadcast environment.
- Event Expertise: Proven experience in managing technical aspects of large-scale events
