My client is a global port operator specializing in container handling and terminal operations, with a network of ports across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. As one of the largest port operators worldwide, they play a crucial role in global trade and drive innovations in port technology and logistics solutions.
Job Description
- Oversee project scoping, scheduling, risk management, and ensure quality control and cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide advice on network design improvements and handle occasional network troubleshooting.
- Assess and review existing IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, networks, and storage solutions.
- Align business application requirements with current IT infrastructure and recommend improvements or changes.
- Design monitoring solutions for infrastructure and applications, prepare RFPs, evaluate outsourcing partners, and support new application implementations.
The Successful Applicant
- At least 6 years of experiences in Data Centre operations, network design, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), SAN, and Linux administration.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networks, LAN/WAN setup, and experience with infrastructure/application monitoring tools.
- Skilled in project management and managing outsourcing contracts.
- Knowledge of middleware, databases, and cybersecurity is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to travel on short notice, with a bonus for understanding container terminal processes.
