Role Name: General Manager (GM) for Envac SEA
Reporting to CEO & Regional President of Envac Region Greater China, SEA & India
Depending on the experience and qualification of the candidate, this role could start with a 6 to 12 months of transition to learn about Envac systems and operations as a Senior Project Director or Acting as a Regional COO role. After this transition, he or she will serve as an independent General Manager (GM) for SEA including Singapore and Malysia. As the candidate develops, he or she is likely to take additional responsibility to oversee other offices, for example, India and / or HK /TW. This role will be located in Singapore, it will require 15 to 30% travel.
Description of the Role
The GM of SEA will have full responsibility for the P&L for Singapore and Malaysia. He/She oversees full functions of the local management including Commercial, Projects, O&M, Technical, Procurement and Supporting functions such as Finance, HR, Admin, QS and EHS. He/She sets up and manages company priorities while setting leadership examples and strategic direction for team to make responsible decisions and execute effectively. The MD provides the regional CEO & President with applicable strategies and ensures the strategy execution is done for his / her responsible countries in alignment with Envac AB company objective of 2X5Y growth goal.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The following list defines, not limited to, the role’s duties and responsibilities:
- Be the P&L owner including order intake, revenue timely generation, gross profit, EBIT, cost control, cash flow and working capitals.
- Be responsible for the company’s annual financial budget setup that supports the 2X5Y goals and is committed to overcome difficulties to achieve annual budget plan and strategy plan.
- Actively design and support human resource strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training, talent development and retention. Establish a healthy succession plan while managing company knowledge retention risks and cost effectiveness.
- Be hands-on, when necessary, as the team has pockets of gaps, can supervise with solid background and coaching skills to provide guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
- Be proactive with ownership to minimize company risks including contract management and project management.
- Be a team player to look out for regional wellbeing and actively contribute to the region. For each site, create certain expertise to support the region. For Singapore, make expertise in technical, SCM and project management a proud site to share and support the region.
- Be strategic and firm in tough discussions with housing authorities, main Contractors and partners.
- Be a visionary. Can focus on daily priorities without losing sight of country goals and regional mission. Communicate effectively to bring visionary culture to the team.

- Preferred candidates with the following capability will be highly considered:
- Track records of creating, executing and sustaining workable processes (project management, distributor management, pricing strategy, contract design and management…) to enable regional efficiency and compliance.
- Ability to influence and make changes with existing company leaders with deep history and ways of operations who will be willingly following him / her to adopt a productive system and culture to support the growth goal of the region.
- Work expertise: Solid track record of problem solving to grow business especially in Asia, as VP/GM type of roles with full functions
- Hands-on engineering project management experience with track record of efficiency contribution to the business results
- Experience in supply chain management and cost efficiency achievement during project definition and executions.
- Hands-on engineering business sales – designing, bidding and contract setups.
- Savvy expertise in dealing with partners (consultants, agents, distributors…) and JV partners with track record of successes.
- Other Preferred Requirements:
- Language / cultural background: prefer oversea experience, fluent in English and preferably can also communicate in Chinese.
