Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced guitar technician to join our regional team. The role is based in Singapore and will be focused on delivering the best possible customer service for the musical instrument repair industry. We want somebody who is self-driven, passionate, and very organized. Someone who matches our spirit and desire and to keep challenging ourselves to push to be the best in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • You will test, inspect and repair acoustic and electric guitars.
  • You will evaluate damaged guitars to determine whether fixing them is cost-effective.
  • You will maintain, clean, and do setups for new and used electric and acoustic guitars.
  • You will build parts and troubleshoot electronics as part of your repair responsibilities.
  • You will be familiar with electronic effects, tuners, pre-amplifiers, amplifiers, and pedalboards, and know about a range of audio engineering and electronics concepts—such as impedance, signal phase (for speakers and microphone wiring), and input voltage for pre-amps and effects. You will know how to use a soldering iron and a multi-tester, and how to do basic electronics troubleshooting.
  • You must have an ear for music, and for musical tones and sounds.

Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of repairing musical instruments, particularly guitars.
  • You are passionate about musical instruments, and music in general. Ability to play guitars is a plus.
  • You are proactive, responsive, responsible and ready to go beyond the call of duty.
  • You are a team player.
  • You are detail-oriented.
  • You have an ability to diagnose and fix problems.
  • You are customer-focused, a solid communicator with great people skills.
  • You can work within an established, structured system.
  • Technical training and experience is preferred for this role.
